About Samaritanism
An ancient Israelite religion closely related to Judaism. Samaritans accept only their own version of the Torah and regard Mount Gerizim as the holiest place, rather than Jerusalem. They celebrate Passover with a sacrifice on the mountain. The community survives in two places, near Nablus and in Holon in Israel.
