About Yazidism

A monotheistic religion of the Yazidi people, associated with the Sufi figure Sheikh Adi ibn Musafir. Yazidis revere Tawusi Melek, the Peacock Angel. Lalish in northern Iraq is their holiest site. The community suffered a genocide by ISIS beginning in 2014 in the Sinjar region.
