About Ancient Egyptian Religion
The polytheistic religion of ancient Egypt for over three thousand years. Gods included Ra, Osiris, Isis, and Horus. The pharaoh was seen as a divine intermediary who upheld maat, cosmic order. Belief in the afterlife inspired mummification, the pyramids, and the Book of the Dead. It faded under Christianity in late antiquity.
